Thank you to POWA and Supporters

As it is my initial year of membership and my first conference, I am certainly proud to be a member of such a talented and supportive group of people. The legends of PA outdoor writing abound and I heard so many interesting stories from paid story tellers and professional B.S.ers.

Congratulations to all the winners of the Excellence in Craft Awards - someday I hope to stand with you.

I also want to thank the supporting members and speakers who make such conferences not only possible but more diverse and interesting. If you are an outdoorsman, you will want to look into these companies, places, and people.

Gogal Publishing masters topographical maps and apps, especially for fishermen. Founder Mike Gogal is an amiable genius and app guru.

NSSF - the National Shooting Sports Foundation helps keep the strong tradition and 2nd Amendment alive with their steadfast support on hunting, shooting, conservation, and (above all) safety.

Hunting Works for Pennsylvania is a great organization that can help bridge the gap for people to understand the benefits of hunting, especially the economic side.

Hunters Share the Harvest is another organization that helps spread good public relations with hunters and non-hunters and may help change the view of anti-hunters. Hunters help the deer populations while also getting to feed a family in need; what can be better than helping your community in two ways? PA's branch is pretty unique as well

Ernst Seeds is a knowledgeable company based out of Meadville, PA that will help balance your land for a purpose - native pasture, healthy feed, protect pollinators, etc..

PA Fish and Boat! This should go without saying, but hearing from Executive Director John Arway, we as fisherman need to help with carrying on this tradition. He focuses on the 3Rs - Recruit, Retain, Reactivate. I take it as a Call to Action with which we outdoorsmen and outdoor writers must try to help.

Many other supporters may be found at POWA supporting members list. Thank you all for the donations as well.

Also a Thank you to speakers of the writing workshops:

Randy Lawrence - Entertaining and Informative, I especially benefited from the proofreading advice.

Bob Frye - Fellow POWA writer with tons of great anecdotes and helpful advice.

Robin Sharpless - From Redding Reloading. Extremely knowledgable about the science of precision loads and the process of reloading. The link takes to his book on Amazon.

My apologies to any that I may have forgotten.

If you are interested in becoming a supporting member, POWA welcomes you.
